Online Plumbing Faucets Course

Alpha Tradesmen Academy expands its plumbing training into a specialized badge for installing, replacing, troubleshooting, and repairing faucets. In the Faucets badge, students will learn the ins and outs of faucets from a wide range of manufacturers, like Moen, Kohler, Delta, Price Pfister, and more. Robert Keith, a certified plumbing technician with over three decades of experience in the field, will be the lead instructor in our video lessons. The material in our lessons is designed to be useful for students of all experience levels, from beginning technicians to more experienced plumbers.

Train Online for Work with Faucets

Lesson one features an introduction where Robert discusses how to approach faucet-related calls. Robert encourages students to ask clients if faucets are meeting the clients’ needs and help them decide whether to repair the faucet or replace it with a more appropriate model. Other subjects covered in the first lesson include using genuine parts from the manufacturer versus using discount parts from a third-party manufacturer. Robert also informs students of some historical context on older faucets and lays out some universal guidelines for servicing any kind of faucet. We then demonstrate how to remove the handles from a series of common faucets found in many homes and businesses.

In the next lesson, Robert offers students demonstrations of how to make many common repairs on the different types of faucets, such as replacing cartridges and O-rings on cartridge-type faucets, replacing ball and cam assemblies on ball-and-cam faucets, and much more. Along with showing students the proper methods to use when performing the repairs, Robert also discusses and uses the various tools that are needed. Robert will also demonstrate repairs on some more obscure and lesser-seen faucet styles, like electronic sensor faucets, air gap faucets, and metering faucets.

New installations are the main focus of the next lesson, as Robert discusses how to drill new holes in both stainless steel and porcelain countertops. Along with the instruction, he will also provide demonstrations so students can see the methods in action. Other topics in this lesson will be installing new faucets in tub and shower units, kitchens, and hose bibs. Likewise, these videos will also feature demonstrations alongside the information given.

Just like the previous badges in the program, each lesson in the Faucets badge will conclude with a brief quiz on the information in the lesson. Students have as many chances as possible to answer all of the questions correctly. After the last lesson has been completed, students will take an extensive final exam that draws from information given in all of the lessons in the Faucets badge. As with the quizzes, students must score 100% to pass, but cannot retake the exam. Once finished with the final exam, students should now be well prepared to answer calls concerning faucet issues.

FAQ

Alpha Tradesmen Academy’s online plumbing courses include a Certified Service Technician course that covers all the basics that novice students need to know. The video lessons will introduce students to the correct terminology, theory, equipment, and methods for a wide variety of areas in the plumbing trade. As students progress to more specific courses in the program, they will gain a richer understanding of the overall trade.

Even the most seasoned plumbing technicians can utilize our online lessons to gain up-to-date knowledge on the latest methods, fixtures, tools, equipment, and more. Our videos also cover updated codes and regulations regarding safety and environmental concerns. More experienced students can also use our lessons to refresh their knowledge of the fundamentals of plumbing and other areas where they may be unfamiliar.

Inexperienced Alpha Tradesmen Academy plumbing students are encouraged to find an apprenticeship position at a plumbing company in their area. As an apprentice, students will gain experience while performing real jobs in the field. The hands-on experience will give students a better understanding of plumbing, as well as help the students meet the hours required to gain a plumbing license in most areas.

The plumbing program from Alpha Tradesmen Academy offers the knowledge students need on virtually all aspects of the plumbing trade. Students will be able to use the information they receive in our course when completing jobs as an apprentice, as well as when taking any necessary tests to get their licenses. Our program also allows students to more easily complete their required hours by granting them 24/7 access to lessons, quizzes, and tests online. Additionally, many products today require special certification from the manufacturer to be properly installed. Alpha Tradesmen Academy will show students how to get these certifications from either traditional or online courses outside of our program.

Many plumbing courses are directly or indirectly sponsored by competitive plumbing businesses, who use the courses as a means to recruit technicians from other companies. Likewise, other programs teach plumbing students how to leave their employers and start their own companies. Alpha Tradesmen Academy helps avoid these situations by creating an environment free of predatory practices and by training students to work as apprentices and technicians, not business owners.

At the end of the day, company owners are left with three options: leave technicians untrained and inexperienced, send technicians to costly, inconvenient traditional trade schools, or utilize Alpha Tradesmen Academy’s ground-breaking online program. With our 30-day guarantee and limited time offer of two free bonus badges, employers have nothing to lose and plenty of benefits to gain!
